USSR issued this set of three stamps on 4th October 1984 on the occasion of 25th Anniversary of Photography in Space. we can see in the 5K stamp, Luna-3 photographing Moon. Furthermore, on the 45K stamp, we can see a sample photograph itself representing the space imagery captured by Meteor satellite. This space photography was started by Soviets in the year 1959, with Luna-3 transmitting the first photos taken of the Lunar far side. The second set of photos captured by Zond-3 and transmitted to Earth in 1965. The 25 Years commemorative issue, this set, was issued in 1984, coinciding with the first Lunar photos provided by Luna-3 in 1959.
